Sad news: Une triste nouvelle concernant ma belle-mère
Saturday, December 30, 2017
It is with great sadness that my family and I announce that Michèle-France--mother, belle-mère and granny extraordinaire--has passed away on Christmas Eve.
We will share more about her life when we return to France for her funeral, which will take place on January 4th, 4 pm local time in France.
Amicalement,
Kristi, Jean-Marc, Max, and Jackie

Loving sympathy to you all, my Dears, at the loss of 'Grannit' Michèle-France. Hard for you to be away from home and the rest of your famille franҫaise when the news reached you. A profound blow, even though expected, particularly for J-P to whom we send special love. This warm and lively woman dwells in your hearts forever: I am sure that you'll find her presence with you still and always. January 4th will be a superb, sorrowful yet sweet occasion as you honour her together. So glad she became a special person to us, your readers, too. Thank you for that.

No-one has words that can ease the pain; especially that of Jean-Marc. It is so hard when you were not with someone you love so much at the end of their life. At times, life really sucks. The emptiness on your return will be profound and you will all have much to cope with. BUT, remember, through your thoughts and through your eyes many people have been able to appreciate your belle-mère and she will be there forever.

To use my Jewish condolence:
I Wish You and Your Family Long and Sweet Lives!
I hope the pain lasts only as long as it should and that her memory will grace your lives forever ...
